If you are going to be doing a discussion with your youth about body image and the unrealistic expectations created by the media, check this video out.

Justice Camp is an opportunity for Anglicans interested in social justice, young and old, to come together. Unlike a conference, Justice Camp is interactive with active learning through immersion experiences with local justice partners. Camps are intergenerational and an interdisciplinary training event which will radically transform, inform, inspire, equip, and challenge participants to pursue justice for social transformation. At Justice Camp, we will talk about charity versus justice, understanding local needs and mobilizing action, and grassroots organizing. It will be a great opportunity for sharing, networking, coordinating, and training! Continue reading →
The time is come yet again for the annual Trent Durham Youth Retreat. This year it will be happening from February 24-26 at Camp Kawartha just outside of Lakefield Ontario. The retreat is for youth 12-19 and will cost $130.
This year our theme is Peace. Jesus said “blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.” What is it to be a peacemaker in our relationships, our schools, our world? What does it look like to live a life of peace? These will be the questions we will be looking at with our special guest Leah Watkiss. Along with this will be special worship, activities and just a chance to hang out with youth from throughout the Area. We will also be joined by Bishop Linda for our Sunday Eucharist.
